Opera Boot Camp (OBC) has been created by opera lovers who want to tear down the walls around Opera.

It is designed to give young singers a taste of just how much fun opera can be.
Each day the students will participate in private vocal instruction, dance classes, guest workshops and rehearsals for a mini-opera performance.

Instruction will occur on Monday to Thursday from 9:00AM to 4:00PM with the performance to follow on Friday. This final production will give the students an opportunity to perform in a mini opera.

Entrance requirements
All students, age 10 - 15, will be considered. Previous voice lessons are helpful, but not required.

Song Writing Camp

Here's a camp where students, ages 9-14, can write—poetry, music and songs. Camp activities will help participants learn about their creative ability, in a learn-by-doing atmosphere.

Campers will use keyboard, guitars, percussion instruments and their own voices to express their ideas through music games, word games, writing and music activities. Campers will have the option to share their own work during a final performance.

Entrance requirements: Music experience not necessary.

Refund Policy

Full fee will be refunded if application is unsuccessful.

Withdrawals made more than 3 weeks (21 days) before camp start date: full refund minus $25 administration fee.

Withdrawals made 21 days or less before camp start date: 50% refund.

Withdrawal on camp start date or after: no refunds except for medical reasons. All medical requests must be made in writing and be fully supported and documented by a practicing medical physician with the Medical Association.
