The seventh annual tuba – euphonium workshop, hosted by the UNB Centre for Musical Arts, will feature clinicians Adam Frey, Øystein Baadsvik, and Lance Nagels.
Adam and Lance are well known to former participants. Adam is a leading euphonium soloist and director of the International Euphonium Institute at Emory University in Atlanta, GA. Lance Nagels was the first clinician at our event and is principal tubist with the Quebec Symphony and clinician at Domaine Forget. Øystein, new to TubaFest, is an internationally renowned Norwegian Tubist . He is the only tuba player who has built his career exclusively as a soloist.
Topics will include proper warm ups, effective practice techniques, phrasing, articulation, dynamics, ensemble playing and relaxation. In addition there will be sessions for people who are just beginning to play the tuba or euphonium.
